PUT RESIDENTS FIRST by ensuring we have independent local representation at Council, free of party politics. 2. LISTEN to the whole community; residents, traders, renters and ratepayers instead of pandering to vested minority interests or activists. 3. AN IMMEDIATE RATES FREEZE by finding efficiencies without cutting services. Holding council accountable by benchmarking against other councils. Current budget of $250M and 850 staff is unsustainable. 4. IMPROVE CUSTOMER SERVICE by lifting underperforming core council services to meet the needs of every resident. 5. CLEANER, SAFER STREETS free of antisocial behaviours, street campers and drugs by making it safe to walk our streets again and rebuild our neglected retail streets. 6. PROTECT CAR PARKING by ensuring road upgrades and bicycle lanes do not come at the expense of safety to road users nor at the expense of residents and businesses. 7. PROTECT HERITAGE BUILDINGS by strongly protecting the heritage and our amenity and oppose changes to heritage protections.Residents of Port Phillip have endorsed candidates in four of the nine new single Council Wards – see the electoral map below.
